Registered with both Ofsted and the Commission for Social Care Inspection, the Chiltern Centre is an independent not-for-profit company and registered charity. We were set up in 2004 in response to the needs of local families to provide essential short break care services, together with social and recreational opportunities for children and young people with physical and/or learning disabilities.

“The Chiltern Centre is a flexible resource that provides a variety of care for children and young people with complex needs. There is a strong emphasis on having fun and allowing the children and young people a variety of choices. The atmosphere is calming and relaxed and children were clearly happy to be there” “The staff team are well trained and competent and fully understand the needs of the children and young people that attend the Centre.”

This award recognises providers that were judged to be outstanding when they were inspected and was received with the warmest congratulations of Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector on achieving this very high standard of practice at the Chiltern Centre.
